Rental cars and buses travel from the airport to the Piazzale Roma. From there, guests can take a vaporetto (water bus) across the lagoon. The stops nearest to the hotel are S. Marcuola and Orto. Hotel staff can also arrange for a greeter at the airport and water-taxi transportation directly to the front door (surcharge).

The vaporetto (water-bus) system connects the major islands of the lagoon (Murano, Burano, the Lido, and Torcello) with the historic center of Venice. Vaporetti 1 and 82 travel the Grand Canal from Piazzale Roma to St. Mark’s Square. Beyond water travel, walking is an easy way to explore Venice. The historic center measures just 8 square km (3 square miles). Hotel staff can also order water taxis on request.

Marco Polo Airport (VCE): Approximate driving time to the Piazzale Roma, Venice’s main entry point, is 20 minutes, and the distance is 13 km (8 miles).
