The Dining Room - Elegant and ornately decorated fine-dining restaurant serving dinner Tuesday-Sunday. French cuisine with a Japanese accent, either à la carte, or as part of the chef’s six- or nine-item tasting menus; six-item vegetarian menu is available. First-course temptations include lobster ravioli, sashimi of big fin squid, and Tasmanian sea trout. Specialty main dishes could include Sancho peppercorn crusted duck breast, Hawaiian moi en papillote, or dry-aged beef ribeye. Reservations recommended.

The Terrace - Breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner served daily. Rooftop restaurant specializing in Mediterranean cuisine with a California twist and featuring views of the San Francisco skyline. A garden courtyard is available for alfresco dining. Sunday jazz brunch is a San Francisco tradition—an all-day event that begins with caviar and a bottomless champagne glass, and ends with the last chocolate truffle on the dessert table.

The Lobby Lounge - Afternoon tea in the English tradition is served daily, along with cocktails in the grand Lobby Lounge with its Victorian décor, crystal chandeliers, original 18th- and 19th-century portraits, and ornate furnishings. Take the 4th St exit, and then continue onto Bryant St. Proceed one block on Bryant St. Turn left onto 3rd St and proceed about five blocks to Market St. When 3rd St crosses Market St, it becomes Kearney St. Continue on Kearney St for four blocks. Turn left onto Pine St and proceed two blocks. Turn right onto Stockton St, and hotel is immediately on right.

Driving directions from Metropolitan Oakland International Airport: Exit the airport on Hegenberger Rd. Take I-880 N toward Oakland. Take I-80 W / San Francisco / Bay Bridge, crossing over the Bay Bridge. Take the Fremont St exit, and then continue onto Fremont St and proceed four blocks to Market St. When Fremont St crosses Market St, it becomes Front St. Continue on Front St for one block. Turn left onto Pine St and proceed six blocks. Turn right onto Stockton St, and hotel is immediately on right.
