Park Grill - Hotel guests and local power brokers mingle at this mezzanine-level restaurant at the top of a glass-enclosed spiral staircase. The menu features California cuisine, seasonal fresh meat, produce, and seafood. Highlights could include lobster “cioppino” with green-lip mussels and scallops, or herb-roasted breast of free-range chicken with sautéed baby Savoy spinach, marble potatoes, and melted baby leeks. Alfresco dining is available on the adjacent terrace, which also offers garden and city views, a light menu, and cocktails. Breakfast daily; lunch and dinner Monday–Friday.

Bar 333 - This lobby-level lounge offers complimentary morning coffee/tea service as well as cocktails and a Mediterranean-style menu in the afternoon and evening every day. Getting there: BART operates directly from either airport to the Embarcadero Station, four blocks from the hotel. From there, guests can catch a taxi to the hotel. Shuttle service from either airport costs $5–$15 each way, and taxi service is more than $36. Rental cars are available online.

Getting around: Walking is a popular way of getting around at any hour, and many shops, theaters, and restaurants in the Embarcadero Center and along the waterfront are steps from the hotel. The MUNI system offers routes throughout the city and includes electric streetcars, cable cars, vintage trolleys, buses, and light rail. The terminus for the California Street cable car line is less than two blocks from the hotel. All-day and three-day MUNI passes, valid for unlimited travel and transfers, cost $5–$15.

The BART rail system provides access to much of the Bay Area, including Berkeley and Oakland; the Embarcadero BART station is four blocks from the hotel. Taxis are also available. Plentiful alternative transportation makes renting a car unnecessary, and parking in the city is expensive and hard to find. For travel to outlying areas, such as Sausalito or the Napa Valley, guests can rent a car for the day, or take a tour. Rental cars are available online.

Driving directions from San Francisco International Airport: Exit the airport and take US-101 N toward San Francisco. Bear right onto I-80 E heading toward the Bay Bridge. Take the 4th St exit, and then continue onto Bryant St. Proceed one block on Bryant St. Turn left onto 3rd St and proceed about five blocks to Market St. When 3rd St crosses Market St, it becomes Kearney St. Continue on Kearney St for seven blocks. Turn right onto Clay St, and hotel is three blocks on right at corner of Clay St and Battery St.

Metropolitan Oakland Intl Airport (OAK): Approximate driving time is 40 minutes and distance is 18 miles.

Driving directions from Oakland International Airport: Exit the airport on Hegenberger Rd. Take I-880 N toward Oakland. Take I-80 W / San Francisco / Bay Bridge, crossing over the Bay Bridge. Take the Fremont St exit, and then continue onto Fremont St and proceed about four blocks to Market St. When Fremont St crosses Market St, it becomes Front St. Continue on Front St for two blocks. Turn left onto Sacramento St and proceed two blocks. Turn right onto Sansome St and proceed one block. Turn right onto Clay St, and hotel is immediately on right.
