Getting around: Walking is a popular way of getting around the city. San Francisco’s MUNI system offers routes throughout the city and includes electric streetcars, cable cars, trolleys, buses, and light rail. Several MUNI bus stops offering access to a variety of routes are within two blocks of the hotel, and a streetcar stop is seven blocks from the hotel. Alternative transportation makes renting a car necessary only for travel to outlying areas. Driving directions from San Francisco International Airport: Exit the airport and take US-101 N toward San Francisco, following the signs for the Civic Center. Take the Mission St exit. At the end of the exit ramp, turn right onto Mission St and proceed one block. At the first traffic light, turn left onto Van Ness Ave and proceed about two miles. Turn left onto Union St and proceed six blocks. Turn right onto Webster St, and hotel is two blocks on right at corner of Webster St and Greenwich St.

Oakland International Airport (OAK): Approximate driving time is 30 minutes and distance is 21 miles.

Driving directions from Oakland International Airport: Exit the airport on Hegenberger Rd. Take I-880 N toward Oakland. Take I-80 W / San Francisco / Bay Bridge, crossing over the Bay Bridge. Take the 9th St / Civic Center exit. At the traffic signal, go straight onto Harrison St and proceed one block. Turn right onto 9th St and proceed about four blocks to Market St. When 9th St crosses Market St, it becomes Hayes St. Veer left onto Hayes St and proceed three blocks. Turn right onto Franklin St and proceed about two miles. Turn left onto Greenwich St and proceed five blocks. Turn right onto Webster St, and hotel is immediately on right.
