Getting there: Taxis (more than $36) and shuttles ($5-$15) are available from both airports. Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) operates directly from both airports to the Civic Center station a half-mile from the hotel for less than $5. From there, guests can catch a taxi to the hotel. Getting around: Walking is a popular way of exploring the city. On weekday mornings, the hotel provides complimentary Town Car service upon request to the financial district, Moscone Convention Center, and Civic Center. San Francisco’s MUNI system has routes throughout the city and includes electric streetcars, cable cars, vintage trolleys, buses, and light rail. Bus and cable-car stops are within three blocks of the hotel. All-day and three-day passes cost $5-$15. Taxis are also available. Public transportation is recommended, as parking in the city is generally scarce and expensive. However, a rental car may be necessary for travel to outlying areas, such as the town of Sausalito or Napa Valley wineries.
