Getting around: Walking is a popular way of getting around at any hour. San Francisco’s MUNI system offers routes throughout the city and includes electric streetcars, cable cars, trolleys, buses, and light rail. MUNI stops offering access to almost any needed route can be found at the Montgomery St MUNI station eight blocks from the hotel, and a cable car stop is two blocks from the hotel. All-day and three-day MUNI passes both cost between $5–$15 and are valid for unlimited travel and transfers. Fees subject to change without notice. The Montgomery St BART station is eight blocks from the hotel. Taxis are also available. Plentiful alternative transportation makes renting a car unnecessary, and hotel parking is $26–35 per day. Airport shuttles are found on the Arrivals level of the airport, above baggage claim; no reservations are required. BART runs directly from the airport to the Montgomery St Station, eight blocks from the hotel. From there, guests can catch a taxi or walk to the hotel.

At OAK, airport shuttles require reservations. A BART shuttle departs every 10 minutes for the Coliseum Station, where guests can catch a train to the Montgomery St Station. Driving directions from San Francisco International Airport: 101 North to San Francisco. Follow signs to Oakland Bay Bridge I-80 East. Take the 4th St. Exit. Go straight to 3rd St. and turn left. Follow to Market and crossover; changes to Kearny St. The Hilton is seven blocks down on right side of street.

Oakland International Airport (OAK): Approximate driving time to the Hilton San Francisco Financial District is 25 minutes and distance is 19 miles.

Driving directions from Oakland International Airport: Exit the airport on Hegenberger Rd. Take I-880 N toward Oakland. Take I-80 W / San Francisco / Bay Bridge, crossing over the Bay Bridge. Take the Fremont St exit, and then continue onto Fremont St and proceed about four blocks to Market St. When Fremont St crosses Market St, it veers right and becomes Front St. Continue on Front St for one block. Turn left onto Pine St and proceed four blocks. Turn right onto Kearney St, and hotel is three blocks on right.
