Getting around: Walking is a popular way of getting around at any hour. San Francisco’s MUNI system offers routes throughout the city and includes electric streetcars, cable cars, trolleys, buses, and light rail. The hotel is on a historic cable car line that connects to Fisherman''s Wharf. All-day and three-day MUNI passes both cost between $5–$15 and are valid for unlimited travel and transfers. Fee subject to change without notice. The BART rail system provides access to much of the Bay Area, including Berkeley and Oakland; the Powell St BART station is five blocks from the hotel. Taxis are also available. Plentiful alternative transportation makes renting a car unnecessary, and parking in the city is generally scarce and expensive. For travel to outlying areas guests can rent a car for the day.
