The airport is a 15-20 train journey from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof (main railway station). The number 2 city bus also runs at regular intervals to and from the airport and passes the hotel. Taxis are also available.
Driving directions: From the airport follow signs to Innsbrucker Bundesstrasse and then on to the city center. Take a left onto Rudolfbiebl Strasse and a right onto Ignaz-Harrer Strasse. Cross the Lehener Bridge and turn right onto Schwarzstrasse, left onto Auerspergstrasse, and left again onto Rainerstrasse. Turn right at the Crowne Plaza Hotel onto Markus Sittikus Strasse for the hotel.
The best way to get around and see Salzburg is on foot. However, there is also an inexpensive bus and tram system, as well as a network of cycle paths. Cars are banned from parts of the Old Town. Horses and carts line the squares of the Old Town.
