Salzburg Airport (SZG): Approximate driving time is 10 minutes and distance is five kilometres (three miles).

The airport is a 15-20 minute train journey from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof main railway station. The number 77 bus also runs at regular intervals between the airport and the main railway station. Taxis are available outside the airport terminal and charge around €15 to the city centre.

Driving directions: From the airport, take the A1 in the direction of Vienna and exit for Salzburg Mitte. Continue straight on the Ignaz Harrer Strasse for two kilometres. Go over the Lehener Bridge and the hotel is on the left hand side.

The best way to get around and see Salzburg is on foot. However, there is also an inexpensive bus and tram system, as well as a network of bike paths. Cars are banned from parts of the Old Town.
