Getting around: Unless comfortable driving British-style (on the left) on narrow streets, few visitors to Nassau rent cars. Taxis are available at the hotel. Nassau’s little buses, called "jitneys," operate throughout the island, stopping near the hotel. Ferries (less than $5) make 10-minute trips to Paradise Island from a dock eight blocks from the hotel. Ferries also operate from Nassau to Out Islands, including Harbour Island and Eleuthera.
