The Malpensa Express rapid train runs every 30 minutes to and from Milan Cadorna railway station; the airport railway station is at the -1 level of terminal 1. Various bus and shuttle services run to and from destinations in and around Milan, including Central station and Linate Airport. Taxis to the city centre charge in the region of €65.

Driving directions: From the airport take the highway toward Milan. Exit at ‘Viale Certosa’ and follow signs to city centre until Firenze Square. Turn right into Via Cenisio and continue until the square outside the cemetery. Turn right at the traffic lights into Via Ceresio and continue past Baiamonti Square. At the second traffic lights head left into Viale Crispi. Continue across Repubblica Square, then turn right into Bastioni di Porta Venezia. Turn right at the traffic light into Corso Venezia and drive straight on as far as San Babila Square. At the traffic light, turn right into Corso Matteotti. Continue until Meda Square, then make a left onto Via Hoepli. Turn right at the traffic light into Via Agnello. Take the left-hand lane and continue at the traffic lights into Via San Raffaele. The Straf is on the right-hand side.

Milan Linate Airport (LIN): Approximate driving time is 20 minutes and distance is 8 kilometres (5 miles).

Bus no. 73 runs every 10 minutes and connects the airport with the Milan underground at San Babila Station. There is also a shuttle bus to Milan Malpensa Airport on the other side of the city. There is also an airport coach service which runs every 20 minutes to the Air Terminal at Milan Central Station.

Driving directions: From the airport take the Via Forlanini, then the following streets in turn: Viale Corsica, Corso XXII Marzo, Piazza V Giornate, Corso di Porta Vittoria. Turn right on Via Cesare Battisti then right again on Via Visconti di Modrone. Continue until Corso Monforte. Turn left and continue until San Babila Square. At the traffic light, turn right into Corso Matteotti. Continue until Meda Square, then make a left onto Via Hoepli. Turn right at the traffic light into Via Agnello. Take the left-hand lane and continue at the traffic lights into Via San Raffaele. The Straf is on the right-hand side.

Milan''s public transport includes four underground lines, as well as buses and trams. Tickets are available at Metropolitana Milanesa (MM) stations and some newspaper stands. Taxi ranks have telephones. Parking in the city is limited to two hours during the day. Illegally parked cars are fined or towed.
