Dining at the Royal Lancaster
The Pavement - A traditional bar-brasserie with polished wooden floors, bentwood chairs, palm and fig trees, and an adjoining conservatory with ceiling-mounted Venetian blinds. Open from breakfast until late evening, serving classic European cuisine as well as selected Thai dishes.
The Park Room - The Park Room is classically furnished with crystal chandeliers, Queen Anne-style chairs, and tied-back fringed drapes. Floor-to-ceiling windows overlook the Italian Gardens in Hyde Park, and original oil paintings on the walls are inspired by the view. Open for Continental and cooked buffet breakfast.
The Lounge Bar - With crystal chandeliers and a mixture of Queen Anne and Regency-style furnishings, the large Lounge Bar is a relaxed setting for a light breakfast, afternoon tea, evening cocktails, and a variety of toasted sandwiches and salads throughout the day.

The Royal Lancaster is located on the north side of Hyde Park and Kensington Gardens, south of Paddington Station. Express trains serve both airports into the center of London, for transfers to taxis or the Underground (subway). The closest Underground station is Lancaster Gate. Taxis are best hailed with the assistance of the doorman.
Although there are parking facilities nearby, there are heavy fines for drivers who forget to pay new tolls for driving into central London. Traffic is difficult even for the seasoned driver. Best bet: taxis or the Underground.
