The Las Vegas Monorail ($5) operates along the Las Vegas resort corridor connecting major resort properties and the convention center. The average speed is 16 miles per hour, or 15 minutes to complete the 4-mile run. Stations are: MGM Grand, Bally’s/Paris, Flamingo/Caesars Palace, Harrah’s/Imperial, and the Las Vegas Convention Center. The monorail operates from 7 AM to 2 AM on weekdays, 7 AM to 3 AM on weekends. Driving directions from McCarran International Airport (LAS): Exit the airport via Swenson St and turn left on E Tropicana Ave. After about 1.5 miles, turn right on Las Vegas Blvd S. Drive another 2.3 miles to the hotel.

Big-band dance concerts are held throughout the year in the Stardust Ballroom, featuring the music of Ray Anthony, Les Brown, Glenn Miller, Russ Morgan, Tommy Dorsey, Jimmy Dorsey, Guy Lombardo, Benny Goodman, and Woody Herman.
Stardust Pavilion plays host to concerts, boxing matches, and, in December, the National Finals Rodeo.

Award-winning illusionist Rick Thomas is at the Stardust. A professional illusionist for more than 20 years, Thomas'' style reflects his early theatrical experience as a national ballroom dancing champion. Accompanied by dancers, he combines choreography with illusions involving exotic birds, jungle cats, and motorcycles. Rick Thomas holds several honors, including the prestigious "Magician of the Year" award presented by the Academy of Magical Arts.
