Getting around: Walking is the best way to get around in Waikiki. Public transportation around Honolulu and the island are also easy, with bus stops everywhere. Single bus fare anywhere is less than $5, and a four-day visitor’s pass is available for $16–$25. Taxis are readily available (phone rather than trying to hail one), and are a good choice for short trips. For excursions to various points around the island, a rental car is the best bet.
All fees subject to change without notice.
Driving directions from Honolulu International Airport: Exit the airport toward Waikiki/Honolulu. Go up the ramp and stay to the right, heading east toward Waikiki/Honolulu for one mile. Get on the H1 Fwy heading east. Stay in the right lane and follow the signs toward Waikiki/Nimitz Hwy. Follow Nimitz Hwy for about six and a half miles and stay in the right lane as Nimitz Hwy/Ala Moana Blvd veers to the right and becomes Kalakaua Ave. Continue on Kalakaua Ave and turn right onto Beach Walk. The hotel is straight ahead where Beach Walk ends at Kalia Rd.
