Driving directions: From the airport, follow signs for Dublin and the M1. Exit at junction 3 of the M1 towards the city centre and the M50. Follow the N1. At the junction of Griffith Avenue, turn left for Malahide and Rowth. At the junction with the R107, turn left (no signs). At the T-junction, turn right onto the R105, then left onto the R131. At the junction of Dublin Port, turn right and cross the River Liffey (toll payable here; approx €2). At the roundabout, take the third exit, marked N11 and N81. Turn right at the traffic lights onto Londonbridge Road. Follow signs for Ballsbridge as far as Lansdowne Road.
Dublin''s extensive bus network (green double-deckers) serves the center and the suburbs. Taxis can be hard to come by. Parking is scarce, but a car is a great way to get off the beaten track; the center of Dublin is best explored on foot as traffic is notoriously heavy.
