Public bus numbers 41, 41B and 41C run from the airport. Ask the driver to stop at Whitehall and Dublin City University is a 20 minute walk, an €8 taxi ride along Collins Avenue, or bus number 16A. Taxis are also available outside the airport terminal and fares cost around €20.
Dublin’s extensive bus network (green double-deckers) serves the centre and the suburbs. Taxis are expensive and can be hard to come by. Parking is scarce, but a car is a great way to get off the beaten track. The centre of Dublin is best explored on foot.
