Taxis are readily available outside the terminal and fares to the hotel cost around 15 Euros. An airport shuttle service is also arranged by the hotel (surcharge). There is an airport bus connecting to the underground system and the nearest underground station is Alt-Tegel, 800 metres from the hotel. The nearest railway station is Zoologischer Garten, 14 kilometres (8.5 miles) from the hotel.
Driving directions: When driving from the airport, take the Stadt-Autobahn (city motorway) A111 in the direction of Hamburg. Take exit ‘Waidmannsluster Damm’ and turn left. Pass the intersection and after around 80 metres the hotel can be found on the left.
Berlin’s integrated public transport system (the BVG) is the best way to get about. One ticket allows travel on all trains, trams, buses and ferries.
