Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Approximate driving time is 30 minutes and distance is 20 kilometres (12 miles).
There is a railway station in the terminal’s central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes and cost approximately €4. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from the station; follow Damrak for about 200 metres and turn left at the end of the Boat Cruise harbour. At the end, at the Chiquita Shop, is Warmoesstraat. Turn right, and the hotel is 100 metres on the left-hand-side. Alternatively, Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall and cost approximately €40 direct to the hotel. Public buses also run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities.
Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles.
