Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Approximate driving time is 30 minutes and distance is 20 kilometres (12.5 miles).

There is a railway station in the airport terminal''s central hall, under Schiphol Plaza, and direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes. From there, tramline number 26 takes runs to the Lloyd Hotel in about five minutes (tram stop is Rietlandpark; tram 10 from the Leidseplein also stops here). Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the airport arrivals hall and fares to the hotel cost around €45.

Driving directions: When driving from Amsterdam airport, take exit S114 (Zeeburg/Centrum/Artis) and follow signs for ‘Centrum’ (centre). Keep on this road until the Piet Hein Tunnel. Keep to the right lane and after leaving the tunnel turn right at the lights onto the Piet Heinkade. Turn right at the first lights and the road takes a sharp turn to the right. This is the Oostelijke Handelskade. Garage parking is available on the right after the second building. The Lloyd Hotel is located 400 metres further on the right.

Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles which can be found near the hotel.
