Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS): Approximate driving time is 20 minutes and distance is 15 kilometres (9.5 miles).
There is a railway station in the terminal’s central hall, under Schiphol Plaza; direct trains run to Amsterdam Centraal Station approximately every 15 minutes. From here, take the tram 1, 2 or 5 to Leidseplein for the hotel. Schiphol Travel Taxis are available from outside the arrivals hall. Public buses also run regularly to Amsterdam and other cities.
Driving directions: From the airport, take A4 (E10) to Amsterdam, exiting at S-106. At the end of the exit, turn right and continue straight over the Surinameplein roundabout. Pass the bridge and turn left onto the Overtoom. Turn right at the end of the Overoom and then second right into Tesselschadestraat.
Much of Amsterdam can be explored on foot although trams run throughout the city. More adventurous visitors may wish to hire bicycles.
